To qualify for the postgraduate diploma, students must have a university degree or an equivalent higher education degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (three academic years) and present all the documentation set out in the APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION section.

One of the following is required to apply:

A) APPLICANTS WITH A 180-ECTS UNIVERSITY DEGREE

Applicants with a 180-ECTS university degree obtained prior to the application period must provide a copy of their degree certificate.

Applicants who are yet to receive their degree certificate must submit a copy of the application for it and a copy of their academic transcript.

For degrees issued in EEC countries, in addition to the university degree, the corresponding Diploma Supplement or academic transcript must also be submitted.

For degrees issued in non-EEC countries, the university degree must be officially recognised or legalised by means of the apostille of the Hague Convention or the Andrés Bello Convention. The original certified degrees must be presented to the Escola Massana academic secretary’s office at the beginning of the academic year for verification.

B) APPLICANTS IN THE PROCESS OF OBTAINING A 180-ECTS UNIVERSITY DEGREE

Applicants who do not have a university degree or equivalent but who are in the process of obtaining one before the start of the academic year of the postgraduate course can enrol and apply for Conditional Admission by attaching the following document when the apply.

Should an applicant fail to obtain a university degree or equivalent by the start of the new academic year, he/she will not be able to enrol.

The pre-enrolment fee will only be refunded if Escola Massana cancels the programme.

C) APPLICANTS WITH WORK EXPERIENCE BUT NO UNIVERSITY DEGREE

Exceptionally, admission may be granted to people without a university degree who can accredit a minimum of three years of work experience with a skill level equivalent to the degree level.

The procedure for recognising work experience will be verified on the basis of proof of employment, a portfolio demonstrating professional activity in fields such as crafts, design, art or other creative fields, and a personal interview. Applicants who are admitted in this way will be awarded the postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Applied Arts if they
successfully complete the programme at the end of the course.
